Battlefield Chamber of Commerce

Entrepreneurship Workshop:

Mayor Judy Stainback welcomed the 8 attendees on behalf of the City of Battlefield and invited them to
open new businesses in our city. Chamber President Gene Blakey introduced the lecturer, Tom
Keohan, Business Development Specialist from the University of Missouri Extension.

The focus of the workshop concerned the topic "Starting and Managing a Small Business in Battlefield
Missouri". Subjects covered ranged from Developing a Business Plan to getting Start up Funds.
The feed back was positive. Mr. Keohan has been collecting information from Chamber of Commerce
Members and attendees discussed topics of interest.
