Call to Order:  Meeting was called to order by President, Paula Carter.

Board Members in attendance:  Paula Carter, Randy Fry, Vicki Hutcheson, Brian Morris, Keri Robinson, and Becky Wright

Members and guests:  Dave Vallely

Approval of Minutes:  Minutes were submitted by prior email.  Bryan made a motion to approve minutes as submitted, Keri seconded motion.  Motion carried.

Approval of Treasurer’s Report:  December’s balance was $5886.20, membership receipts of $240.00,  disbursements to Greene County Bank for Visa bill-$1534.64, Becky Wright for Post Office Box-$28.00 and Paula Carter-$24.63 for supplies and postage; January ending balance $4538.93.  No bills were submitted for payment.  Randy made a motion to approve the report as submitted, Keri seconded the motion.  Motion carried.  In other business related to the Treasurer’s accounts; Randy delivered the Greene County Bank credit card to Treasurer.  It was agreed that a replacement credit card was not necessary at this time.

Membership:  Keri held a meeting of the membership committee on January 23 at Kaldi’s,  in attendance Vicki, Paula, Keri, Brian and Becky. There was discussion about building a data base.   It was agreed to use the membership directory for membership recruitment.  Paula is making contacts about a logo and branding.  Branding that ties in the National Battlefield history has been recommended.

Technology:  Dan Watson was unable to attend the meeting, but had sent word that the new website is 99% complete.  Future meeting information including secretary’s minutes and treasurer’s report will be available.

President’s Report:  Paula attended the City Economic Development Committee (EDC) meeting in January.  They are working on a welcome sign to be placed in the area of Republic Road and Hwy FF.  She conveyed our intention to work with the City in promoting the community.  They talked about the possibility of doing a community survey. 

Paula mailed thank you letters to all advertisers in the directory along with a copy of the directory.

New Business:  Vicki showed a suggested form to be mailed to 2008 membership for membership renewal. Renewals to be mailed in February.   Randy recommended a copy of the directory be included. 

We have been requested to give a door prize for a City Clerk’s meeting hosted by Battlefield.  Keri made a motion to purchase a $20 cash card, Brian seconded, the motion passed.

Next meeting will be at noon, March 6.  Bring a brown bag lunch.
