Minutes: Delores moved, seconded by Paula, to accept as sent out. All in favor.
Treasurer’s Report: July ending balance is $5,041.54. Brenna moved, seconded by Gene, to accept as passed out. All in favor.

Old Business: AUDIT—Copies of the audit were passed out. Compliments were given on how our records were kept. It was stated that we need to do a 990N Federal filing. Randy will get this done. It was also suggested that we have a P.O. Box (we will, once we have easier access to a post office). A bill for $400 was received. It was also stated that any future audits will have a lower charge.

MIXER – Fourteen were in attendance at the July mixer. The August mixer will be held on the 21st, 8:30am at the Community Center. A corporate sponsor is still needed. Contact Randy if interested.

CHAMBER DIRECTORY—Randy, Brenna and Delores met and minutes of their meeting were shared and discussed. Ads will be sold to chamber members at a discount from non-chamber members. There would also be a 10% reduction for early ad submission. We are shooting for a October 1 publication date. Randy will get a letter ready to be sent to businesses. Gene moved, seconded by Paula, to allow up to $1,500 to be spent over the cost of the ad money received. All in favor.

JULY 4th—There is a lot of water left over. $117 was brought in between the raffle, bottle water and flasher sales. There are also tattoos and flashers left over. We expect to use these at Halloween. Delores might have a purchaser for some of the water, Randy will purchase the rest.

RECYCLE—After some investigation into the matter Delores discovered that the Department of Natural Resources has grants that can be given to cities for this purpose. Also a possibility that the future city trash collector would offer such a service. It was felt that this is not something for the Chamber to be involved in. Delores will share her information with Rick.

New Business: MEMBERSHIP – Our old committee consisted of Steve Reith, Gene Blakey, and Delores Miller. Paula Carter will chair the new committee. Gene will be on the committee. Another member will be looked for.

NEW APPLICATION—Brenna moved, seconded by Gene, to accept membership of The Double E Ranch. All in favor.

MEETING DAY & TIME—After some discussion it was decided to move our meeting, until further notice, to the 1st Friday of the month, at noon.

Misc.: Paula stated that there will be an organizational meeting on Oct. 6, 6:30pm at the Community Center for Wilson’s Creek Farmer’s Market. More volunteers are needed. Contact Paula if interested. Paula stated that the Chamber will probably be asked for a donation sometime in the future.
A Thank-you was received for Baum’s Promotions for items bought for July 4.
Empire Bank also sent a letter about their move into the community.
