Treasurer’s report: January ending balance is $4,192.37 Marlene moved, seconded by Brenna, to accept as passed out. All in favor.

Old Business: YARD SIGNS– Randy had the signs at the meeting. These signs are for any Chamber member to be displayed at their business and/or residence. If you wish to display a sign that states you are a member of the Battlefield Chamber of Commerce contact Randy at 889-3558 to make arrangements for delivery/pickup. WELCOME PACKETS– Brenna has received items from very few members for the welcome packet. At the March meeting we will decide if we want to continue this project. The packets need to contain more information/products. FYI– We should be able to get a full black & white inside page for $425. We could put upcoming events and member ads in this space. Discussion involved the coverage area and how to benchmark the effectiveness of this. More information at March. HEALTH FAIR– This will be held on Saturday, April 19, 9-12. Marlene has 4 participants at this time: self defense, dental check, cancer information and heart information.

New Business: NETWORKING– A networking and planning lunch will be held on Thursday, February 21, 11:30-12:30 at Godfathers Pizza. All members are encouraged to come to network and plan other networking events and membership drives. YARD SALE– Rick stated that the city has been talking about this. We could not remember why the Chamber got involved since the city does all the work. All we did was set the date. There was much jocular discussion on us supplying "Chamber pots" the day of the Garage Sale. Marlene will talk to Cody’s about positioning the port-a-potties at their place. Delores will get cost information of 4-5 units. We also discussed selling coffee, donuts and water during the garage sale. FUND RAISING– It was discussed that we sell bottled water and the glow-in-the-dark items during 4th of July. Maybe we could also raffle items. Randy will look into getting cannon to go off before the fireworks. TREASURER– Randy will talk to John Reep, member, about doing an audit on our books. Randy will also file the necessary electronic paperwork for our taxes. RIBBON CUTTING– Brenna checked and Burk Erectors is not on the Battlefield business list we currently have. A ribbon cutting should be discussed with them–Brenna will be out of town for several weeks and will not be able to help with this but can get the items to someone. MEMBERSHIP–Table for March meeting. Paula is calling prospective members. Randy, Katharine and Delores will help her with this. BY-LAWS– We needed to discuss board member term lengths. Table until March meeting. DUES– Second notices will be sent out this month. We have 17 paid members at this time. FARMERS MARKET– Randy and Vicki will be attending a seminar later this month on this subject. Where to have this; bathrooms and trash collection are all things that have to be taken into consideration. This would be a long term project. Paula stated that Greene County Bank has agreed to pay the $100 or so for liability insurance. We need to get moving on this if we can even consider doing it this year–or even to start next year.

Adjourn: We adjourned at 8:35pm

Sincerely Submitted,

Brenna Davis, Secretary
