A brief introduction…….. David has a broad range of business experience, from sales and marketing to commercial and financial strategic planning, gained at companies ranging from a family- run jewellery manufacturer to global brewing corporations. He had his first exposure to the backbone that is provided to the Missouri economy by small and medium sized businesses when he joined the Small Business Development Center in March 2003. There he dealt with a variety of businesses that needed an input of expertise in any one of a number of areas. Crump Consulting LLC was formed in May 2004, with the mission of providing quality consulting to small and medium sized businesses in the south west region of Missouri. Current clients range from single product start-up ventures to companies with more than 20 years experience.
Philosophy……. The philosophy of Crump Consulting has its origins in the model of consulting favored by many European countries. This is where the consultant acts as an objective support to the business owner, a mentor or business coach who can be called upon as often as required, either on an informal or formal basis. In establishing a long-term relationship, the business owner and the consultant gain maximum benefit from developing a mutual trust and understanding.
How it works……. The approach of Crump Consulting is to work closely with business owners to identify what they need to be able to progress, and to maximize the effectiveness of the resources at their disposal. This involves a thorough audit or evaluation of the business, with an objective identification of its critical blockages or gaps. Ongoing support and involvement, whether by Crump Consulting or by third-party specialists will depend on the needs of the business, and is tailored on an individual basis.
